La mise en place d’une Maison citoyenne – fixe ou mobile – a été identifiée par les Verdunois-es comme réponse centrale aux freins à la participation citoyenne et comme nouvel espace d’échanges et d’accès à l’information dans notre arrondissement.

Nous irons à votre rencontre afin de mieux comprendre les besoins pour rendre la participation plus accessible à toutes et tous ! À travers d’une série d’activités, les prochains mois nous permettrons d’expérimenter de nouvelles façons de participer, d’échanger et de s’impliquer à Verdun.

Les activités auront pour vocation de favoriser la participation citoyenne, le partage d’idées, d’information et l’engagement collectif autour des enjeux qui touchent la communauté verdunoise. Par la suite, l’objectif central est de co-créer, pour et avec les citoyen-nes, une Maison citoyenne ancrée dans la réalité de notre arrondissement et représentative de la diversité de ses habitant-es.

𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐕𝐞𝐫𝐝𝐮𝐧 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐧’𝐬 𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞!

Verdun residents identified the creation of a Citizens’ House—whether permanent or mobile- as a key solution to barriers to citizen participation and as a new space for exchange and information in our neighbourhood.

Starting this month, in January 2026, we are launching the first participatory activities and will be meeting you to better understand the needs for making participation more accessible to everyone! Through a series of activities, the coming months will allow us to experiment new ways of participating and exchanging in Verdun.

The activities will aim to promote citizen participation, the sharing of ideas and information, and collective engagement around issues affecting the Verdun community. The ultimate goal is to co-create, for and with citizens, a Citizen’s House that is rooted in the reality of our borough and representative of the diversity of its residents. This approach is intended to be accessible to all Verdun residents.
