Intercultural twinning is an effective measure to facilitate and accelerate the adaptation and integration of newcomers to the host society.
In order to further promote intercultural rapprochement, the twinning program team organizes collective, cultural and social activities that help to forge new ties or strengthen existing ones.
Twinning has allowed me to revisit my Quebec roots while learning about other cultures. My twin is, for me, a good example of integration thanks to her curiosity and perseverance. I love participating in cultural events with this family who welcomed me with open arms. For me, twinning is the most beautiful volunteer experience I have ever participated in.
Twinning is not only an intimate encounter with another culture through friendship, but it also is a door that opens onto a whole multicultural and supportive community.
I have no family in Quebec. My twin is more than my friend, she is my sister.
Thanks to Daphnée, I can go wherever I want; she showed me everything. She is now my daughter and she is part of the family. It is God who gave her to me… Malika arranged everything.
