Our Mission

The Objectif Intégration information session targets immigrants. It helps them become familiar with democratic and Quebec values, cultural norms, and the local job market. The session is free and conducted only in French. Participants who complete the full Objectif Intégration session receive a certificate of participation and a recognition of democratic and Quebec values as expressed by the Charter of Human Rights and Freedoms. This certificate is valid for two years. There is also a possibility of receiving financial assistance of $230.

Duration and content of the session

The session lasts 24 hours
and is divided into three sections:

  • sections 1:
    Diversity and adaptation in Quebec 
  • Sections 2:
    Five keys to better understanding Quebec
  • Sections 3:
    The world of work in Quebec

Three schedules are offered:
Morning, afternoon, or evening

Eligibility

The Objectif Intégration session is intended for immigrants aged 18 and over who have an intermediate or advanced level of French. 

You are eligible for the session if you belong to one of the following statutory situations 

  • A naturalized Canadian citizen 
  • A permanent resident
  • A temporary resident 
  • A holder of a permit issued for the purpose of eventual permanent residence or a Minister's permit 
  • A person who is authorized to apply for permanent residence in Canada 
  • A temporary resident admitted to Canada as a temporary worker for a consecutive period or periods totalling at least one year 
  • résident temporaire admis sur le territoire à titre d’étudiant étranger pour une durée de plus de six mois
  • A protected person in Canada (who has been granted refugee protection) 
  • Holder of a tourist visa, who has been invited by the Ministry to apply for a Certificat de sélection du Québec
