Together for LGBTQ+ Youth: A Small Gesture, a Big Change
Many LGBTQ+ immigrant youth, including those who are refugees, face difficult times. Isolation and financial struggles complicate their integration and well-being.
That’s why we are organising this fundraiser to provide them with groceries and transit cards.
The grocery cards will help these youth meet their basic food needs, reducing food insecurity and associated stress.
The transit cards will give them more freedom to attend appointments, participate in training, or join community events. Transportation often hinders their integration and independence.
Since February 2023, CSAI has operated a temporary shelter for refugee families at 5685 Rue Laurendeau—made possible by your generous donations.
🏠 This facility offers a secure and welcoming environment for approximately 21 days, giving families time to transition to permanent housing.
In October 2023, CSAI awarded 10 university scholarships of $1,000 each to outstanding international students.
